ASRC Federal Holding Company Documentation Specialist 1 in Atlantic City, New Jersey
ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a Documentation Specialist to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This role will make an impact by meeting the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data across networks in the enterprise.
SUMMARY:
- The Documentation Specialist shall provide support for the development of NAS Documentation involving System Support Modification (SSM), System Technical Release (STR), System Documentation Release (SDR) and the updating of Maintenance Handbooks and Technical Instruction Books. This includes editing, composition, verification of approval signatures, printing, distribution mailing, release cycle and web preparation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain databases, spreadsheets and other tracking systems as required
Develop, write and edit technical material for reports, manuals, instruction books and related technical and administrative publications concerning with work methods and procedures
Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers

Security
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years
Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust

REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required and a minimum eight (8) years of related experienceOR Associates Degree with a minimum of six (6) years related experience ORBachelor’s Degree with a minimum of four (4) years related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Possess knowledge and experience of FAA documentation formats, conventions and terms that are used to produce System Support Directives, Handbooks, Notices and other documentation required to support the NAS and NAS supporting systems.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Located on-site at the WJHTC, EHT, NJ; cubicle setting
