ASRC Federal Holding Company Principal System Administrator in COLUMBIA, Maryland
Position : Principal System Administrator
Location : COLUMBIA, MD
Supports the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
Directs and possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Analyzes and resolves complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.
Fifteen (15) years system administration experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating system configuration, specifically Centos 6, Ubuntu, and Fedora.
Working knowledge of Kibana, Elastic Search, and REDIS.
Willingness to work in both a development and production environment.
Working knowledge virtualization technologies, specific understanding of VirtualBox and Windows Hyper-V.
Understanding of agency security and identity architecture. Understanding of AD and Centrify.
Experience in configuring backup solutions for Linux file systems.
Knowledge of implementing STE/STN requirements to Linux systems.
Travel in support of mobile sensors branch testing.
Occasional troubleshooting of Linux systems. Knowledge of log checking and where to look for causes to issues.
This position requires an active Security Clearance.
Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
