Position : Application Developer Internship

Location : Fort Collins, CO

ASRC Federal is actively seeking an Application Developer Intern to join our team and support development efforts for a government client in Fort Collins, CO.

Responsibilities:

ASRC Federal is looking for strong developers who have a passion for building quality software solutions. As a team member you would participate in the complete development application life cycle, which includes requirements analysis, design, implementation, unit testing, continuous integration and sustainment engineering.

The ideal candidate would have the following characteristics:

  • Passion for software development

  • Extremely strong problem-solving skills

  • Highly analytical and flexible, views roadblocks as an opportunity for learning and attacks them from multiple directions until a solution is found

  • Desire to work in fast-paced agile environment

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and switch contexts quickly

  • Ability to quickly absorb complicated frameworks and business rules

  • Can work without heavy direction

  • Be able to participate and contribute to a team approach to software development and problem solving using Agile/SAFe practices working with System and Business Analyst as well Quality Assurance team members.

Education and Experience:

  • Majoring or recent graduate in a relevant degree, such as information systems, or computer science

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; actively collaborates with team members

  • Highly analytical and flexible, views roadblocks as an opportunity for learning and attacks them from multiple directions until a solution is found

  • Object-oriented programming language experience a plus (e.g. JavaScript, java, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, .NET MVC with C#, React or Vue)

  • Database and/or automated testing experience is a plus

  • Knowledge GIS concepts and design is a plus

Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
