ASRC Federal Holding Company Quality Assurance Internship in Fort Collins, Colorado

Position : Quality Assurance Internship

Location : Fort Collins, CO

ASRC Federal is actively seeking highly motivated Quality Assurance Interns, who have a passion for helping to ensure we are building quality software solutions, to join our team supporting development efforts for a government client in Fort Collins, CO.

Responsibilities:

At ASRC Federal you will have the ability to continuously learn and improve working in an agile team writing test cases, testing, and documenting issues at the story and defect level to help ensure our features in the backlog are complete and of excellent quality.

The ideal candidate would have the following characteristics:

  • Passion for software quality software development

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Highly analytical and flexible, views roadblocks as an opportunity for learning and attacks them from multiple directions until a solution is found

  • Desire to work in fast-paced agile environment

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and switch contexts quickly

  • Ability to quickly absorb complicated frameworks and business rules

  • Can work without heavy direction

Be able to participate and contribute to a team approach to software development and problem solving using Agile/SAFe practices working with System and Business Analyst as well Developer

Education and Experience:

  • Majoring or recent graduate in a relevant degree, such as information systems, or computer science

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; actively collaborates with team members

  • Basic understanding of program interfaces, services, databases, messaging, files systems, and other program objects.

  • Basic knowledge of SQL

  • Database and/or automated testing experience is a plus

  • Experience with automated testing applications similar to IBM RFT/RPT, Visual Studio Ultimate, and/or HP Quality Center, and/or Selenium a plus

Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
