ASRC Federal Holding Company Software Developer in Remote,

ASRC Federal Data Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking Software Developers supporting our NOAA programs in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere within the continental United States.

Key Role:

  • Design and implement new systems and features, as well as modify and maintain existing systems for adaptation to business and/or technology changes. . They should have strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions.

  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.

  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists, and subject-matter experts.

Requirements :

Required:

  • BS/BA degree in related field

  • 5 + years of related software development experience ideally in Python, C/C++ or R.

  • Understanding and know-how of LiDAR Based HAND Capabilities, and HEC-RAS Derived FIM Libraries (1D & 2D).

  • Familiarity with Replace and Route Model and Forecast System.

  • Experience with Near Real-time FIM Forecasting System and Services.

  • Experience developing user stories and define acceptance criteria.

  • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.

  • Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies.

Preferred:

  • Multi-Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) experience desired.

  • Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC desired.

  • Prior experience on supporting FIM services.
