ASRC Federal Holding Company Buyer in Huntsville, Alabama

ASRC Federal is seeking a Buyer in Huntsville, AL to join our team in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense Data Center (MDDC).

Primary responsibilities: Buying Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) in support of the MDDC contract as defined by the contract/task order and government direction. Purchasing in accordance with all applicable FAR/DFAR, government, contract, and corporate policies, guidelines, procedures, and direction including build and maintain federally compliant procurement files and records. Tracking and reporting planned and actual budgets. Tracking software, hardware, and service contract performance periods and planning and executing the renewal processes. Provide financial, budget, and acquisition support and solutions for contract and business matters. Perform analysis for all task activities. Utilize Costpoint to process procurements and research vendors and past transactions. Enter Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Costpoint and route for approval. Perform and document cost analysis of procurements to ensure prices paid are fair, reasonable, and justified. Communicate/coordinate with vendors to ensure material and services are shipped/delivered by the required dates and invoices are received. Administration of travel planning, budgeting, approvals, and spending including the processing and tracking of Travel Requests. Acquire quotes for materials and services from vendors. Regular communication with peers, team members, customers, government officials, and vendors.

Requirements :

Required:

  • Must be an US Citizen.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience

Preferred:

  • Experience with government purchasing procedures

  • Experience working in a schedule-driven team environment

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Familiarity with Costpoint purchasing
