Position : Operations Manager - Infrastructure and Software Applications

Location : Kennedy Space Center, FL

ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced IT Services Director for the Kennedy, Infrastructure, Applications and Communications Contract at Kennedy Space Center. This role will have oversight of the software applications, design, implementation, operations and maintenance requested in support of the NASA customer. The Director of the IAS group is tasked with providing software development, SC Support, software management, architecture and operations and maintenance support to KSC Software applications and systems. This responsibility includes software development from requirements gather and initial planning to writing and maintaining code to produce quality software. Additionally, the candidate must have demonstrated knowledge and experience in cost, schedule and performance management of a wide range of software development projects across multiple contract types, including cost reimbursement, labor hour and firm fixed price and possess ability to perform schedule and cost reporting.

The Director of the IAS group will be the primary point of contact for all task activities and issues and will be responsible for people, project and if applicable may act as project Lead and / or liaison between customer and subcontractor management. Daily oversight and management of the areas of responsibility listed to ensure that the task is performed efficiently, accurately, on time, and in compliance with established requirements. Must become intimately familiar with all aspects of ASRC's Proposal to include the RFP, ASRC's Proposal, ENS and the resultant contract in areas impacting to the IAS and IDU areas. Must have experience managing in a firm fixed price environment -- e.g., adhering to contractual scope and executing within contractually- established cost, schedule and performance parameters and requirements. Independently lead programs that involve the successful management of teams composed of highly specialized technical professionals who have been involved in analysis, design, integration, testing, documenting, converting, extending, and implementing high technology systems. Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of highly technical contract support activities.

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring delivery of Infrastructure, and application services during core work hours, investigative reports of any system outages

  • Agile development experience in full project lifecycles

  • Ability to constantly reevaluate customer priorities while delivering timely, cost effective outcomes

  • Application operations and maintenance

  • New applications design and development and enhancements

  • Data center administration

  • Specialized services management including specialty computing machines -- installing, configuring, patching, updating, troubleshooting hardware and software systems to include vulnerability scanning, installing and troubleshooting all specialty services computing hardware and software

  • Tracking and maintaining all existing applications listed in Kennedy Online Applications and Tracking System (KOATS)

  • Implementing any COTS upgrades

  • SharePoint as a Service

  • Software Quality Assurance

  • Accessibility Scanning and Assessment

  • Data Storage and back up

  • Private Cloud Services

  • Infrastructure as a Service

Requirements:

  • This position requires a strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with the customer, contract and program management, and manage a large technical workforce.

  • Attention to relationships, deadlines, and identifying efficiencies will be critical to the success of the incumbent.

  • Knowledge of NASA or Kennedy Space Center is preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree + a minimum of 7-10 years of experience.
