ASRC Federal Holding Company Boiler Tender Lead in Shemya, Alaska
ASRC Federal Communications is seeing a Boiler Tender Lead for our ISS2 contact supporting our Air Force customer. This postion is located on This is a rotational position in which the selected employee will work a schedule with 3 months at Earackson Air Station (EAS), located in Sheyma, AK and 1 month off unpaid. While working on-site housing is provided in the form of a dormitory facility. All meals are furnished through the cafeteria. You are responsible for the flight from your home base to Anchorage, Alaska. Transportation to EAS from Anchorage, AK is provided by government sponsored aircraft. This is a negotiated union position, and the starting hourly pay rate is $44.03. per hour.
Lead Duties
Inspects crew work and assigned work areas to ensure all work performed adheres to the Company and industry safety standards and practices.
Monitors crew to ensure safe protective equipment and clothing is utilized
Keeps supervisor apprised of mission status
Directs and coordinates activities of the section
Completes mission status reports as required
Ensures work is scheduled and accomplished within established timelines
Ensures subordinates' time records reflect accurate hours worked on appropriate job activities
Coordinates personnel TOS requests while maintaining mission requirement
Accountable For
Common safety practices and protective equipment used on a construction site.
The use of hand and power tools.
Understanding and following directions.
Working cooperatively and safely with others on common projects.
Working Conditions
The employee is regularly required to talk and hear to understand instructions, provide information, and respond to safety warnings. Work conditions require the employee to stand; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; smell; and work on scaffolding and ladders. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance and lift and/or move heavier objects with assistance.
Requirements :
Mandatory Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Four (4) years of verifiable experience as an HVAC technician or Boiler Tender.
Universal refrigerant card issued by the EPA.
Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Obtain an interim security clearance and maintain a secret clearance.
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
Preferred Qualifications
- Boiler Tender certificate of fitness.
