ASRC Federal Holding Company Telecommunications Specialist in Suffolk, Virginia

Position : Telecommunications Specialist

Location : Suffolk, VA

The Marine Corps Circuit Management Office (MCCMO) Order Management (OM) Division is responsible for acting on MCCMO customer requirements, as received through the DISA's Storefront Application, to ensure Telecommunication Requests (TRs) are processed properly and within established timeframes; provides customer support to gain further information on specific TR specifications as well as answer and address any additional customer inquiries and concerns.

Duties Include:

  • Review all Telecommunications Requests (TRs) for Marine Corps

  • Maintain the circuit spreadsheet consisting of data points for over 6000 marine corps circuits

  • Provide a weekly activity report for all TRs reviewed

  • Review and approve requests for Program Designator Codes (PDCs) and DISA Direct Order Entry (DDOE) roles on a periodic basis

  • Maintain the PDC spreadsheet for over 3000 Marine Corps PDCs

  • Provide a quarterly report identifying bandwidth each organization has ordered at Marine Corps Defense Information Network -- Infrastructure Services (DISN-IS) locations.

  • Manage Review and Revalidation (R&R) for USMC. R&R will be performed every 2 years for 10,000 long haul line items (staggered throughout the year) utilizing the R&R tool within the CIMTS application

  • Expand the circuit spreadsheet to include new data points, i.e. Telecommunication Service Providers (TSPs), etc., as requested

  • maintain the Marine Corps Agency Hierarchy Code (AHC) list and provide guidance to Marine Corps units

  • Provide guidance and forms to Marine Corps units who are requesting PDCs and DISA StoreFront roles, as requested

  • Provide reviews and reports of other organization circuit information

  • Respond to Naval Circuit Management Office (NCMO) requests for information and support, as needed

  • Travel to USMC Headquarters in Quantico or Arlington, VA (Pentagon) as needed to meet directly with USMC Customer (typically no more than one visit per month)

Individual must possess good oral and written communications to effectively interface with customers both in-person and remotely.


Clearance: Active DOD Secret

Certifications: Security + ce

B.S./B.A. Degree or equivalent in a related field plus 3-4 years relevant work experience or AS degree plus 5-6 years relevant work experience; if no degree then 7-8 years work experience is required.
